Andrew McQuinn first discovered his passion for writing in a creative writing class in college. He was tasked with writing a short story that would go on to become his debut novel. Playing it out Straight was published in June of 2020, with its follow up Living it out Gay set to be released soon. Playing it out Straight was nominated for a best debut awarded in the 2020 GoodReads in M/Romance.

Andrew also has a holiday novella entitled A Hennigan Family Holiday: Christmas which has been described as a family reunion meets fantasy tale which touches on first love, loss and grief, and is set to be part of a trilogy of novellas that are rooted in the same holiday season.

Andrew McQuinn is set to publish his sophomore novel, The Boatswain's Mate in June of 2025. Set in the mid 80's, The Boatswain's Mate follows two men in the Navy who meet and must hide their feelings for fear they could be dishonorably discharged. Its follow up, Coming up for Air, is set to be released by October of 2025.

Andrew McQuinn currently lives in Maine with his partner Louis, and works as a Care Coordinator for children with special needs.
